Nexen is an independent global energy Canadian company developing, producing, exploring, and marketing crude oil and natural gas. 

 

Plano, Texas

The project consisted of the MEP infrastructure for the relocation of Nexen’s 2,000 SF Dallas Data Center.  The electrical design consisted of electrical power and grounding systems: one 400 kW diesel generator, two 225 kVA UPS, PDU’s and branch circuiting to the server room and miscellaneous rooms in the tenants lease. The mechanical design consisted of four (3+1) 20-ton Liebert Air Cooled Units (Digital Controlled Compressors and R-407C Environmental Friendly Refrigerant). Air distribution was distributed through raised floor in a Hot-Cold Isle configuration.

 

Houston, Texas

The project consisted of a new UPS Room to upgrade the existing emergency power system for their Dallas Based Data Center. Upgrade includes a 200kW generator and the addition of two 50kVA parallel UPS units.  The cooling of the UPS room consist of overhead Liebert Cooling units.

Laughlin Air Force Base

Construction Administration services (Title II) for Laughlin Air Force Base Project. Project consists of the remodeling of base housing units and central plant which supports a flight simulator building. Project includes: review of mechanical and electrical plans and specifications for conformance with Air Force standards and codes, review of submittals and testing reports for compliance with specifications, and interpretation of plans and specifications as requested by the Project Contractor. Site observations of the project construction are conducted to document status of construction.
